Grenade blast kills two, injured 17 in Wau

Two people were reported dead and 17 others critically injured following Wednesday’s grenade blast in Wau Municipal Market.
 
A soldier believed to be from SPLM division five tossed a grenade at a local bar after a brief quarrel with the local alcohol seller, Voice of Hope reported.
 
Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan confirmed that two people died in the hospital.
 
He said the assailant was under the influence of alcohol.
 
Akot Deng Akot, a soldier told journalists that the attacker is familiar and that the police were pursuing him.
 
Wau Municipal Town Mayor Arkangelo Ayar Anyar said 18 people were wounded mostly women and admitted in Wau Teaching Hospital.
 
This is the third case registered in Wau this year alone cropping up from SPLA soldiers.
