Women entrepreneurs on Thursday challenged men to change their mindset on negative mentality of women entrepreneurship.

South Sudan Chamber of Commerce women entrepreneurs’ chairlady Susana Donato Deng described the mentality of not allowing women economic empowerment as a distorted way of thinking.

She pointed out that female entrepreneurs help in paying children’s school fees, buying their medicines and clothes.

Dr Deng advised women that empowerment does not mean superiority over men, urging them to balance business and family life.

South Sudan Women Entrepreneurs Association Board member Judith Yuggu revealed that many women left businesses for fear of losing marriages.

She urged men to change their attitudes against women involvement in business.

Ms Yuggu explained that women participation in business and financial independence are blessings according to the Bible.

Joseph Thomas Paul called for understanding between men and women to avoid denying women entrepreneurship.
