Sts Peter and Paul Primary School in Nuba Mountains expressed discouragement after seven pupils dropped out from the school with unknown reasons.

Head teacher Timothy Hassan said the pupils who dropped out from school comprises of four boys and three girls, Voice of Peace reported.

Mr Hassan complained that some parents withdrew their children from school to look after animals.

He challenged parents for lacking seriousness in supporting children in the school.

The head teacher told parents to allow their children to go to school because time for looking after animals have gone and children have to study to become national leaders in the future.

Mr Hassan added that early marriage and keeping domestic animals were the factors hindering education of some children in Nuba Mountains.

He urged the Nuba community to implement child rights to education.
