Central Equatoria State introduced new mechanisms and plans to fight gender-based violence.

The State Acting Director of Gender Emilia Konga explained that they need to map out organizations working with rampant gender-based violence cases in the state, Bakhita Radio reported.

She said they need to form a taskforce which to campaign and train people on gender-based violence.

Ms Konga added that there is need for advocating and lobbing for people with disabilities.

The group decided to include community representatives to coordinate gender-based violence programmes.
