Sudan Cardinal announced the use of five liturgical books in the Church.
Cardinal Gabriel Zubeir Wako who is the President of Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC issued a circular that the books include the Devine Office, the Prayer of the Church, the Christian Prayer, Lectionaries and Missals, Emmanuel Radio reported.
The Cardinal in his circular noted that SCBC endorsed the five liturgical books during the recent plenary meeting in Khartoum.
He said some churches and centres started using the books three years ago.
The Cardinal said it was necessary to adopt the liturgical books published by Daughters of St Peter.
He requested dioceses that still use the old books to inform their Christians, religious congregations and institutions of the decisions of the SCBC to use the new books.
