EVE Women Development Organization urged the national government to implement the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 which calls for women protection.
EVE Project Coordinator Mary Kamilo on Monday told CRN that she wants to ensure that South Sudan put into action the Resolution.
She expressed gratitude to the Gender Ministry for taking a lead by drafting the National Action Plan.
The Coordinator explained that Resolution 1325 emphasizes on four pillars including women participation at all levels and protection during and after conflicts.
EVE Organization last week trained Jonglei women leaders on the role they can play in monitoring the implementation of the Resolution in South Sudan.
