A cleric of Yei Catholic Diocese urged politicians to practice good politics in the country.

Christ the King Cathedral Parish Priest Tom Poru Martin while delivering homily on Sunday said many times when priests preached social justice people misinterpreted saying they were involved in politics, Easter Radio reported.

He called on politicians to exercise good politics to gain respect because politics means organising people not confusing them.

Fr Poru asked politicians to take the example of Nelson Mandela of South Africa and other famous world politicians.

The cleric mentioned that the new nation is named the fourth failed state in the world because of corruption.

He warned that God will punish those who practice corruption and embezzle public funds to build storey houses for themselves.

Fr Poru revealed that some individuals in the Church these days became corrupt because money is disappearing into their pockets.
