Bishop urges citizens to be peace lovers

The Emeritus Catholic Bishop of Torit urged citizens to end tribal conflicts and become peace lovers in the country.
 
Bishop Paride Taban told Bakhita Radio that as the world commemorates Peace Day, South Sudanese should stop the unnecessary tribal killing and embrace peace.
 
He said the guns should be turned into ploughs and hoes for cultivating food so that people live in peace and not for killing innocent people within the country.
 
Bishop Taban added that everybody should forgive one another and forget the past to realize meaningful peace.
 
The Catholic prelate said in the last two days he was in the bush spreading peace messages to people of Jonglei state.
 
He said peace in Jonglei could only be achieved if the people love themselves, stop revenge and respect one another.
  
Bishop Taban said the country needs to foster peace and all must work together to realize meaningful peace.
 
He added that Kuron Peace Village in Eastern Equatoria was initiated to bring peace among the warring communities of Kapoeta.
