Hundreds of students from Abangite College, Bangasi Academy, King’s College, Yabongo Day and Boarding Secondary Schools, Yambio Secondary School and Mangbondo Secondary School on Friday gathered for interschool prayers at Abangite premises in Yambio.
St Mary Parish Curate Elia Juma while presiding over the mass prayed for the new Abangite College students’ leadership to prosper, Anisa Radio reported.
He urged Young Christian Students Association members to communicate the message of love and unity to all students.
Fr Juma encouraged all students to put God first, work hard and follow teachers’ and parents’ advices in order to do very well in their studies.
Abangite Teachers’ representative Moses Bakasia appealed for the continuation of the interschool prayers at the other secondary schools.
The new students’ leadership will be sworn into office on Wednesday at Abangite College.
