Israeli Agricultural experts accompanied by Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese and World Food Programme or WFP on Thursday visited Singbi Farmers Association in Nzara County to assess local farmers’ products.

Experts’ representative Moti Nevo said they came from Israel to know what local farmers are doing and their challenges.

He expressed excitement to see local farmers’ food production progress in Western Equatoria generally and Nzara County in particular.

Singbi Farmers Association chairperson Lino Edward Zingbondo thanked the Diocese for supporting them with theoretical and practical modern farming ways.

An extensional worker Paul Zangabai said bad roads hinder their products from going to markets and lacks of stores are major challenges facing farmers.

Diocesan Sustainable Livelihood Manager Samuel Zigigo urged farmers to concentrate on their activities for better production.

Singbi Farmers Association this year cultivated 40 acres compared to year’s 90 acres due to some challenges.
