Teachers, pupils complain of de-worming effects

Teachers and pupils of St Joseph, Emmanuel, Kanjoro and Christ the King Primary Schools in Yei River County of Central Equatoria state complained of drugs effects during the de-worming campaign.
 
St Joseph Primary School Lutaya Head Girl Brenda Vivian Augustine said she experienced vomiting, stomach ache and passing of watery stool, Easter Radio reported.
 
Pupils of Kanjoro, Christ the King and Emmanuel Primary Schools complained of body itching and swellings.
 
St Joseph Lutaya teacher Amude Viola complained that one loaf of bread per a pupil was not enough.
 
A drug distributor at Christ the King Primary School Sebit John said there was great improvement this year compared to 2011.
 
Across and GIZ in collaboration with Yei River County Health Department organised the de-worming campaign.
