Yei River County Cooperatives and Rural Development official called on coffee growers to form cooperative societies to access development partners’ support.
Cooperatives Assistant Commissioner said a non-governmental organization call Techno Sad expressed readiness to support coffee growers with machines in rural payams, Easter Radio reported.
He said the organization required farmers to be registered as cooperative societies.
The farmers earlier complained limited access to farming inputs including hoes and other agricultural materials.
They also cited that natural disaster still remains a major challenge to their work on the ground.
The Assistant Commissioner was speaking during a one-day meeting which brought together 50 farmers all over Yei County.
