The National Legislative Assembly on Wednesday passed with observations HIV AIDS Commission Bill to its fourth reading next Monday.

An Mp representing Aweil South in Northern Bahr El Ghazal in the Assembly Bellario Ahoy Ngong said executive director should be a permanent employee of the commission.

He argued that the executive director should be recruited according to national civil service regulations and not appointed by the president.

The policy framework and strategic plan report of the Committee of Land, Agriculture, National Resources and Environment was returned to the committee for more research before the parliament deliberates on it.

Economy, Finance and Development Committee chairperson Professor Paul Logale Jumi chaired the sitting.
