The International Republican Institute or IRI on Wednesday organized a one-day public opinions review for Western Equatoria top government officials and organized forces in Yambio.

IRI South Sudan Resident Program Officer James Turitto said the first survey conducted in Greater Equatoria, Bahr El Ghazal and Upper Nile regions showed that South Sudanese were grateful for the independence and the SPLM party, Anisa Radio reported.

He added that South Sudanese complained about rampant corruptions, insecurity and shortage of food in the country.

Mr Turitto said the survey acknowledged efforts of all organized forces and the SPLA.

Local Government and Law Enforcement minister Daniel Ezbon Zingifuaboro lamented that the opinions of Western Equatorians were not well represented in the IRI research.

Governor Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro thanked all the organized forces and the army’s good reputations for committing themselves for peace in the country.
