Sudd Institute will hold a public lecture on Saturday to examine socio-cultural, economic, legal, educational and political conditions of South Sudan.
The lecture aims at enhancing women participation in leadership through gender equality and encourages public dialogue on the imperative of gender balance.
Jane Kani Edward will during the lecture uncover how systemic, structural, customs, and traditional practices undercut South Sudanese women’s progress and impede their ability to effectively participate in governance and public affairs.
It will also highlight some strategies for addressing gender disparities in South Sudanese society to better women’s conditions, achievement of gender equality and stability.
