Western Bahr El Ghazal police arrested four foreigners with fake South Sudanese money and are awaiting trials.
Wau Police Director Major Martin James Ibra said the four suspects were arrested with more than one thousand fake South Sudanese pounds and illegal currency ink.
He the suspects will be tried in the court of law and prosecuted accordingly.
Mr James called on citizens to cooperate with security forces and report counterfeit money cases immediately.
He said the circulation of fake currency can undermine country’s economy.
