Lakes Football Association suspends Gold Star

Lakes State Football Association suspened Gold Star Football Club from participating in the competition.
 
Association general secretary Isaac Meen Mathach told Good News Radio on Wednesday that the Club was stopped from participating due to its failure to participate in the national competition.
 
He disclosed that the team was fined to pay five thousand South Sudanese Pounds in line with the Association Constitution.
 
Mr Meen ruled out that the team will return the trophy it won during the last competition and be demoted to second division.
 
He explained that the team will not participate in any completion until its punishment was over.
 
The general secretary disclosed that the association planned to train Girls in football.
 
He said they trained many girls for football and many schools already registered.
 
Mr Meen decried that culture influencewas hindering girls’ participation in sport activities.
 
The teams that will meet with Gold Star in the ongoing football tournament will get three points free.
