Women Training and Promotion Association or WOTAP on Saturday supported farmers’ association in Western Bahr el Ghazal state to open a honey shop at Abushaka, Wau to generate incomes.
WOTAP director Linda Ferdinand Essen expressed her readiness to support organized groups to boost finances in the state, Voice of Hope reported.
Ms Linda told farmers to be committed, work hard urging NGOs to intervene and help expand the project.
Abushaka Honey group secretary, Sabino Joseph said they harvest more than twenty Jeri cans of high quality honey every month.
The farmers urged the government and all NGOs to help them sustain the project.
Yambio and Western Bahr el Ghazal have the best honey projects in the country.
