Minister urges journalists to be accurate

Western Bahr el Ghazal Information Minister urged media personnel to report accurate information to the public to avoid inciting violence.
 
Alfred Derick Uyah cautioned journalists not to go beyond red lines, but operate within the context of the law, Voice of Hope reported.
 
He told journalists that freedom has limitations.
 
Mr Derick challenged media personnel against reporting wrong information which causes chaos in the society. 
 
He advised that media practitioners should be neutral and promote the integrity of the country.
 
Derick urged journalists not to contribute to the downfall of the country but promote peace, unity and goodwill.
 
The minister blamed journalists for failing to report developmental issues.
 
He called on media personnel to remain vigilant and cooperate with the government for national progress.
 
The minister was speaking during the opening of the two-day dialogue forum for journalists and security organs in Wau.
