More than 50 executive chiefs are participating in a three-day training on conflict mitigation and land management in Yei River County of Central Equatoria state.
Central Equatoria Local Government and Law Enforcement minister Albert Pitia Redentore called on the executive chiefs to resolve conflicts at the family level, Easter Radio reported.
An executive chief from Bor County in Jonglei State Simon Yang said the training will enable them to promote peace, unity and manage land disputes.
The training attracted chiefs from Terekeka, Juba, Lainya and Morobo counties of Central Equatoria State and Bor in Jonglei State.
The workshop was organised by Conflict Mitigation and Stabilisation Initiative.
