The United States commended the national Legislative Assembly for vetting ministers and deputies fairly.

US Ambassador to South Sudan Susan Page in a statement said ‘the faithfulness to the Transitional Constitution that requires approval of the new appointees by the National Legislative Assembly demonstrates that members of parliament are committed to democratic principles.’

The ambassador spoke after vetting, approval and swearing in of 18 ministers and nine deputies, pending others for investigation.
