WBG Muslim community celebrates Id El Fitr

Western Bahr El Ghazal State Muslim community on Thursday celebrated Eid El Fitr.
 
Thousands of Muslims gathered at Moulid Square for morning prayers for the first breakfast after 30 days of fasting, Voice of Hope reported. 
 
State Information Minister Alfred Derick Uyah appreciated Muslims for their continuous prayers that improved many things in the country.
 
He called on Muslims faithful and citizens of Wau to remain united respecting each other’s religion.
 
The minster described 2013 as a year of peace and tranquillity and that all have to maintain the spirit of respect and mutual understanding.
 
Sheikh Awad Idris Bilal explained that the importance of the feast was gathering together to present their prayers to God.
 
Sheik Awad explained that the holy month of Ramadan was a moment of love, trust and sharing of breakfast as a sign of unity.
 
He prayed for peace, harmony and hard work in the coming years.
