Medicine Sans Frontier or MSF confirmed that one of its staff was killed and two others were wounded by unknown armed group in Juba.
South Sudan MSF Advisor Rasma Agafia told CRN in a telephone interview from Amsterdam that the attack happened on Monday and one staff identified with one name of ‘Joseph’ died on Wednesday.
Ms Agafia called on the national government to ensure respect for humanitarian workers.
She said the other two victims are undergoing treatment in Juba.
Ms Agafia said it was the first time such an incident occurred to MSF for the last 30 years of operation in the country.
There was no comment from the government on the attack.
