Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO appealed to the county authorities to develop local revenue.
CEPO Director Edmond Yakani told Good News Radio on Wednesday that some counties depend on state and national governments grants.
He encouraged county authorities to embark on physical invention.
Mr Yakani appealed to non-governmental organizations to support cattle keepers with water points.
He added that cattle play a central role in the lives of the people in Lakes State.
Mr Yakani promised that more trainings were underway for directors to deliver effective services in counties.
The CEPO director was speaking during the closing ceremony of a two-day workshop in Rumbek that brought together eight executive directors in the state.
