Heads of state security in Western Bahr El Ghazal on Wednesday started laying down measures to combat armed robbery.
Six heads of organize forces in the state met to put forward plans to crack down the robbery, Voice of Hope reported.
Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan said robbers hired organized forces’ riffles for their operations.
He urged police patrols to improve measures to tear apart the criminals.
The governor advised all patrolling forces to be sober during their operations.
Division Five Commander Major General David Manyok Barac told the police to protect lives and properties of citizens.
He blamed senior town patrol officers for not supervising night patrols.
Last week an old woman withdrew 13 thousand South Sudanese Pounds from the bank and lost it to unknown armed robbers at Lokoloko residential area.
Two other citizens sustained separate gunshot injuries from robbers.
