Easter Radio on Sunday installed two new transmitters to broadcast live masses from Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.

Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe said the transmitters will help in preaching the word of God to sick people and those cannot reach the Church.

He advised the faithful of Yei not to stop going to the church for prayers because they are already getting the mass over Easter Radio.

Easter Radio Director Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit revealed that the transmitters cost over 2,500 English Pounds.

He said the church is doing a lot but the government is the not recognizing its efforts to help people.

Fr Lodongo said the county revenue authority two weeks back summoned him to pay taxes for the Radio.

He said Easter is not a commercial radio but helps the nation through evangelization and the Government in fighting ignorance by educating South Sudanese.

The transmitters were installed on Tuesday and Wednesday and launched on Sunday.
