A catholic priest said vocation to priesthood starts at the family.

Yei Catholic Youth Chaplain Alex Lodiong Sakor said vocation for life starts at the family because values of work and respect are taught at home, Easter Radio reported.

Fr Lodiong explained that vocation to priesthood needs personal will and hard work.

He added that most seminarians failed to make their vocation through due to lack of support and will to follow rules and regulations.

The cleric revealed that God chooses people according to his conditions, regulations and norms.

He pointed out that many priests left the ministry because they wanted the church to work according to their conditions.

Fr Lodiong made the remarks while celebrating his twelfth priesthood anniversary on Monday.

The Young Christians Student or YCS celebrated it on Saturday at Yei Girls Secondary School.

The occasion drew all YCS from Yei and Lainya counties.
