Unknown gunmen on Saturday attacked a car belonging Caritas Torit under the diocesan health department along Torit-Kapoeta.
Willy Kamua, who works at Information Technology department of Caritas Torit, told Emmanuel Radio that the attack occurred after the Kidepo Valley military barracks.He said two people emerged from the bush, one from the front while the other behind and shot at the car.
A police officer inside the car saved the situation by returning fire at the attackers who ran away in fear.
The officer said the driver sustained minor injuries.
A bullet remained inside the engine.
The team of IT personnel was travelling for official duty to Narus, in Kapoeta East County.
