USAID Deputy Mission Director on Wednesday visited Yambio to assess rural development activities in the county.
Commissioner Kuzee John Elia said Tetra Tech ARD, the firm operating the projects, brought one generator to Yambio County to run internet services in the County Headquarters offices, Anisa Radio reported.
He added that Tetra Tech ARD is building the County Land Authority offices within the County headquarters under the supervision of the county authorities.
Mr Kuzee appreciated the support of USAID to the people of Western Equatoria and particularly Yambio County through Tetra Tech ARD and other international organizations with funds to construct the Yambio-Nabiapai and Yambio-Skure roads.
USAID Deputy Mission Director Alex Deprez expressed satisfaction over the progress on the ground.
He pointed that USAID prioritized road projects because they were paramount for farming in Western Equatoria.
