Torit East Primary on Monday beat AIC primary school five goals to one in an African Child Day commemoration at Torit Freedom Square, Eastern Equatoria State.

AIC Primary School pupil Otto Mathew scored the opening goal within the first minute of the game, Emmanuel Radio reported.

Thomas Young of Torit East Primary equalized some minutes later.

AIC basic primary school was disappointed when Oscar Aborose scored the second goal for Torit East Primary school.

Thomas Young added a third goal.

The first half of the match ended three goals to one in favour of Torit East Primary school.

Gido Ronald and Oscar Aborose scored a goal each in the second half of the match for Torit East Primary school.

Eastern Equatoria deputy Governor Jerome Surur Gama promised an award of 750 Pounds to the winning team and 250 SSP for the losers of the tournament.

The tournament was one of activities to mark the twenty third anniversary of “African Child Day” in Torit.
