The Principal of Upper Nile University promised that the institution will continue to function despite of austerity measures.
Job Akuei told students during the welcoming ceremony organized by the Student Deanship on Saturday in Malakal that it was not easy for the Council of Deans to open the new academic year, Voice of Love reported.The Principal told the students to challenge conditions before conditions challenge them.
Prof Akuei said the university administration was very happy to welcome 560 new students.
He told the new students to integrate into the university society, stay at peace and commit to their studies.
Upper Nile University on Saturday organized a welcoming ceremony for the new students, under theme “University student is the foundation and the future of the country.”
