Central Equatoria teachers are facing a dilemma over salary and allowances payment.

Teachers Union Chairperson Peter Lodu Tombe told Radio Bakhita that until now the teachers did not get their salary and allowances and they do not understand why they are not receiving their paid.

He added that teachers are in a dilemma because they do not know any information on May salary payment.

Mr Lodu said teachers do not expect things to go out of hand.

He added that the State Council of Ministers passed the teachers’ salary and allowances but the resolution remained unimplemented.

The chairman added that teachers feel deceived by leaders.

Mr Lodu called upon the state government to look into teachers’ issues, be active and relevant to the situation.

He said the government’s claim that the country is a new born baby should not be used as a cover to stop education sector development.
