The Commissioner of Yei River County in Central Equatoria State expressed disappointment over 12 thousand teak logs and poles cut three years ago in Pakula that are lying unsold; some were already eaten by white ants.

Juma David Augustine said if the teak logs were used properly, they would benefit the community, Radio Easter reported.

He described the situation as a total environmental destruction and abuse of resources.

Commissioner Juma David cautioned people against misusing resources and urging the community to use them for development.

Investors said the 12 thousand teak logs lying Pakula are worth 1.2 million dollars
