TONJ WOMEN COMPLAIN ABOUT CROPS DESTRUCTION

Tonj South County women State complained about the destruction of their crops by road grading machines.

Debora Ager said on Wednesday that cash crops were graded away by heavy machines opening new streets in Tonj, Don Bosco Radio reported.

She said they cultivated along the road because the Land Commission staff told them that roads would not be graded until December.

Ms Ager added that her crops that were mostly to help her children.

Debora Nyilueth complained that her three faddens of groundnuts were all destroyed and she did not have any seeds left to replant.

Ms Nyilueth said she is the head of her household because her husband is soldier and he has been in the border for three years.
