A mobile company operating in South Sudan launched its corporate social service early this month aimed at supporting education in the country.
MTN on Wednesday gave to the University of Juba ten computers, started constructing two toilets for its library and pledged to install solar power.Chief Commercial Officer Fred Mokoena told Radio Bakhita that his company will offer more to support education in the whole country not only the University of Juba.
University Principal Wani Sule welcomed the offer and called for other companies to follow suit.
He said the University needs more assistance, including fencing and lecture halls.
Library Dean Salah Khatri explained that the donation will help extent their operations after the solar power is installed.
The donation will be handed over to the University administration on June 19.
