Lack of funds is affecting the operations of the Local Government Board.
Local Government Board member Nikodemo Aroman said in the past three months the Board was supported by the World Bank to run its activities in the states, Radio Bakhita reported.
Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO Governance officer Mori Misak said the civil society group works with the Local Government Board to raise more revenue from local communities and increase information flow from counties to states.
He added that CEPO will ensure the implementation of the memorandum of understanding it signed earlier this year with the Board.
The workshop CEPO organized brought together national and state government officials, national and international NGOs.
