A Catholic charity is committed to support vulnerable students and teachers in Western Equatoria State’s secondary schools.

Jesuit Refugee Services or JRS Director Aiden Azairwe said the charity is giving scholarships to vulnerable secondary school orphan girls and handicapped who cannot pay their fees.

He disclosed that JRS has ten scholarships for secondary school teachers to study in Muni National Teachers College in Uganda.

Mr Azarwe added some 12 scholarships would be offered to primary school teachers to study at Solidarity Teacher’s Training College in Yambio.

State Education Minister Pia Philip Michael appreciated JRS for training teachers to advance quality education.
