YECO LOSES OVER 2 MILLION POUNDS

Yei Electric Cooperative or YECO operate at lose of over two million South Sudanese Pounds from the customers unpaid bills.

YECO chairman of directors’ board Samuel Taban Rombe told Radio Easter on Saturday that the customers’ unpaid bills accumulated to over 2 million Pounds.

He said the National Rural Electrification Cooperative Association or NRECA was the only body supporting the smooth running of YECO.

Mr Taban revealed that the unpaid bills were from the government departments, street security lights, individuals and the civil hospital.

He said the Cooperative was only surviving from the money collected from few customers who paid their bills in time.

YECO is a non-profit organization funded by USAID.
