There is no insecurity in almost all parts of Eastern Equatoria State.
The retired Bishop of Torit Diocese Paride Taban on Thursday told CRN that people can walk day and night 200 kilometres without security threats from Kapoeta to Boma borders.He said they get insecurity when they go far outside Kapoeta East County.
Bishop Taban said even when the war was ongoing in Boma they were not afraid.
He said they have no soldiers in Kapoeta East and the communityÊ takes care of security saying they do not find why David Yau Yau wanted to go to there.
Bishop Taban said the peace and reconciliation process in Kuron village brought rivalling tribes together and enemies became friends.
He said they started with sports and moved football programmes even to cattle camps.
Bishop Taban explained that they brought to youth from Murle, Kechipo Jie and Toposa to play together and also brought their elders together.
He said when cattle were raided they trained the same youth as community police to bring back the cattle.
Bishop Taban said reconciliation process in Kuron Village of Eastern Equatoria was progressing.
