Western Equatoria youths planted orange trees as a gesture to advocate for peace, unity and harmony between the youth and the government.

They demonstrated their aspirations for peace by planting 30 seedlings of orange trees in the government the ministries, state assembly, Yambio County headquarters and Gbudue stadium, Anisa Radio reported.

The youths urged people to plant trees as a sign of peace and environmental preservation.

Youth and Sports state minister Bullen Wande appreciated the initiative of the youth to promote peace among the communities.

He said the youth have rights and responsibilities to fully participate in the peace process at all levels.

Mr Wande advised the youth to get involved in voluntary works and seek wisdom from the elders.
