The Chairperson of the National Reconciliation Commission called on its members to live by example in order to lead the peace and reconciliation process.

Archbishop Daniel Deng Bull of the Episcopal Church of Sudan told the 200 people undergoing training to launch the reconciliation process at local level to change their hearts in order to change others.

He advised the members to change the selfish habits of those who want to take more than others in order to give room for forgiveness, peace and reconciliation since individual interest is the main obstacle to progress in South Sudan.

Archbishop Deng expressed happiness upon seeing members of the commission undertaking training to lead the peace and reconciliation process across the country.

He told journalists that the peace and reconciliation process should included all peoples.

Last week President Salva Kiir appointed a new Peace and Reconciliation commission led by Archbishop Deng.
