The Permanent Constitution now in the making should reflect the values, aspiration and history of South Sudan.
Presidential Legal Advisor Tilar Ring Deng told the gathering at the official opening of National Constitutional Review Commission headquarters in Juba that the process of making the country’s highest law should not be influence by foreign values.He threatened to go to self exile if the Permanent Constitution allows foreign ideas such as gay and lesbian marriages.
Mr Ring added the country’s Permanent Constitution will only include the universal accepted norms, covenants and human rights.
