CONSTITUTION, SOLUTION FOR DAUNTING PROBLEM IN SOUTH SUDAN

An inclusive Permanent Constitution that enshrines the Bill of Rights and guarantees the independence of the judiciary and participatory organs could be the solution to South Sudan’s many daunting problems.

Akolda Man Tier, who chairs the National Constitution Review Commission, said for the country to come out of its big difficulties, the Charter should the part of the solutions.

He called on the members of the Commission to take the review process as a huge responsibility to help South Sudan solve its problems.

Professor Man was speaking at the handover ceremony of the Commission’s renovated offices on Tuesday morning in Juba.

USAID renovated the headquarters of South Sudan’s National Constitution Review Commission and constructed extra pre-fabricated offices.
