Twenty-five out of 50 expected participants from various community base organizations or CBOs turned up for one day training held in Nzara, Western Equatoria.

Facilitator from Open Society Initiative for East African, Don Bosco Malesi, told Radio Anisa that the purpose of the training was to build the capacities of all the CBOs on how to govern themselves and look for funds.

He appreciated the great works done by the CBOs in various development sectors within the communities.

Mr Malesi said the Open Society Initiative wanted to invest in the CBOs through training because they are familiar with the people at the grassroots and aware of the difficulties facing them.

He encouraged the participants to implement the acquired skills in relation with the local communities to render better services.
