The rate of road accidents is growing in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State.
Yei Director of Traffic Police Andrew Kenyi told journalists at his office that over the past one month there were some 30 road accidents registered along the Yei-Lasu Road, Radio Easter reported.He said the likely causes for the accidents were over speeding and good road conditions.
Mr Kenyi said Yei traffic department and the United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS were planning to give training for members of the boda-boda association and find other mechanisms to avoid accidents in the Yei-Lasu Road renovated section.
