MOROBOO COUNTY LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL GIVEN FIVE MONTHS EXTENSION

The Governor of Central Equatoria gave the go ahead to the Morobo County Commissioner to extend the mandate of the County Legislative Council for five more months.

Governor Clement Wani Konga speaking to the County Legislative Councillors and the Chiefs in the County main Hall said he granted the extension for the Council carry out its oversight and legislation work normally, the county pressman told CRN via e-mail.

Commissioner Moses Simon Soro said the term of Councillors expired according to the provisions of the Local Government Act 2009.

He added that because the state did not have any electoral law extension was very important till elections are conducted.
