The South Sudan Community Change Agency in Yei County said Thursday that it is organizing the global celebration of a youth service day which starts Friday until Sunday.
The group’s programme coordinator Festo Bali Christopher explained that the celebration will recognize youth contributions to improve their communities and empower them to identify community needs and write projects, Radio Easter reported.He added that the celebration will start with awareness on issues affecting youth like drug abuse, HIV AIDS, child protection and gender based violence.
Mr Bali called on the youth to turn up for the celebration and get involved in work so that a tangible development is realized in the nation.
The day is celebrated under the theme “Service is power, change, can be you and can be by me; youth changing the world.”
