The National Constitutional Review Commission cannot conduct civic education in the states because there is no money.

Chairman Professor Akolda Man Tier told the press in Juba that the commission does not have money for transportation and hiring halls for public session on the Transitional Constitution in the states.

He urged the national parliament to summon the finance minister and tell him to fund the commission.

Mr Man said although there is no money five thematic committees started reviewing seven parts of the Constitution but they cannot go up to the states.

The head of the National Constitutional Review Commission said though the commission is given a period of two years to accomplish its task but the mandate seems wider than the period given.
