The governor of Western Equatoria state on Tuesday returned to Yambio after visiting Kinshasa, DR Congo.
Joseph Bangasi Bakosoro after returning from Kinchasa via Juba briefed his cabinet and members of the state legislative assembly about his visit.He said the South Sudanese team was delegated by the President of the Republic to negotiate with the Congolese government on the peaceful coexistences between the two neighbouring states.
Mr Bakasoro said while in Kinshasa, they signed a memorandum of understanding on security issues related to the Lord’s Resistance Army and Ambororo threats between the two countries.
In related development, the governor said electricity operation in Yambio would kick off soon.
He announced the official visit ofÊ President Kiir to Western Equatoria state in the nearest future.
Bakosoro urged every citizen to be patriotic.
