A group of angry traders from the butchery section have on Tuesday stormed the office of Yei Chamber of Commerce over a misunderstanding of hundreds of thousands of South Sudanese pounds was allegedly being used by a Darfurian business person two months ago.
The acting chairman of the Chamber, Felix Sebit told the press that two Darfur traders borrowed an amount of 551,000 South Sudanese pounds from local traders and have not paid.He said the fighting broke out because the owners are demanding their money to be paid back.
Mr Felix added that the man who used the money is in police custody under protection pending investigations.
He urged the business community not to take the law into their hands.
